The Quaker Initiative to End Torture - QUIT is renewing our long term work to engage Quakers and others in hopes of ending torture. Work to achieve accountability for torture in the US is currently stalled on every front. Americans are told to forget it ever happened. QUIT wants to help Quakers and other Americans remember torture and keep crying out for accountability and prevention.
Our steering committee has gathered in Putney, VT to map out actions and plans for this work. We've been talking about new one day conferences, outreach work, and improving our presence on the web and social media.
